Mitigation of Bird-hit Incidents in Airfield Towns
Since 2006, Paripatram has been actively involved in the waste management sector. One notable project with the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) focused on mitigating bird-hit incidents in airfield towns across India. Integrating the informal sector in waste collection enhanced awareness on source segregation at the household level, thereby mitigating bird-hit incidents and enhancing livelihoods.

Research and Formalization in the E-Waste Sector
Since 2012, Paripatram has conducted extensive research in the e-waste sector, focusing on formal-informal linkages, resource efficiency, circular economy, and formalization of informal actors. Collaborating with various stakeholders including central and state governments, private sector actors, and civil society organizations, we've contributed to policy development and implementation, leading to increased formal recycling and skill development in e-waste dismantling.

Capacity Development and Skilling in E-Waste Dismantling
With a focus on skilling and capacity development, Paripatram has trained over 500 individuals in entrepreneurship development in the e-waste sector. This initiative has led to an increase in dismantling and recycling infrastructure across the country, fostering sustainable practices and economic empowerment within the informal sector.
